AI Suggestions

The AI Suggestions feature is a tool based on OpenAI's completions API. It helps you improve your dashboard by providing suggestions based on your data sources. The suggestions are based on the analysis of the data and they can be used to provide better visualizations and insights.

Note

The AI Suggestions feature does not send your raw data to the OpenAI API, it sends aggregated data and metadata (e.g. field names and data types) to obtain suggestions.

The AI Suggestions feature can be accessed by clicking on the AI Suggestions button in the top right corner of the Studio page.

If this is the first time you are using the AI Suggestions feature, you need to set up your OpenAI API token. You can do this by selecting the gear icon in the top right corner of the AI Suggestions panel:

Once you set up your OpenAI API token, you can start using the AI Suggestions feature by clicking on the NEW SUGGESTION button. This will open a new suggestion panel with a wizard where you can select the data provider, data source, and the fields you want to use to generate the suggestions. Start by selecting your data provider:

Then you have to select the source:

Then you have to select the fields you want to use for the suggestion, here you can select up to 30 fields:

Once you select the fields, you need to confirm your selection in the next panel. After the confirmation, you will see a loading screen while the AI Suggestions feature is generating the suggestions:

Once the suggestions are ready, you will see two tabs, one with the generated descriptions for the datasource and fields, and another one with the visualization suggestions. You can the descriptions of the data source and fields to the dashboard by using the blue Add to dashboard button.

One the second tab you will see the visualization suggestions. You can add any or all of these visualizations to your dashboard by using the blue Add to dashboard button.
