Online course: ChartFactor Fundamentals

This course provides you with the knowledge and tools necessary to create interactive visual analytics dashboards that you and your team can use to explore and exploit your data.

To follow along you'll need:

  • ChartFactor Studio Community Edition which is always available
  • Elasticsearch 7.x. You can find easy instructions on how to install it here. In this course, we will use Elasticsearch as our data engine.
  • london_fire_brigade.csv: this dataset, compiled by the City of London, includes 32K calls to the London Fire Brigade from January 01 to April 30 2017.

CLASS 1: ChartFactor Studio introduction

This class will walk you thru uploading the provided data file and creating data visualizations to discover insights.

CLASS 2: Adding interactivity

In this class you will learn how to add elements of interactivity to your dashboard using ChartFactor Studio Community Edition.

CLASS 3: Adding calculations

In this class you will learn how to add derived metrics, custom labels, and additional configurations using ChartFactor Studio Community Edition.

CLASS 4: Embedding

In this class you will learn how to create custom data applications by embedding ChartFactor Studio's visualization and interactivity components.
